'Let it go' cover I can get behind

  • Question: In all seriousness, I need your expertise. I was discussing veganism with someone the other day, and they challenged me by saying 'Do you think that if another animal was the dominant species, they would care about other animals?' and I didn't know what to say. How would I argue against this, and prove them wrong? - Anonymous
  • Answer:

Argue against? What are you talking about? How could you argue against perfect logic like that. Just do the right thing. Say you are sorry to this incredibly intelligent person, and then proceed to eat their pet. Don’t worry….they’ll understand that you have no choice in the manner, because you aren’t built with a cognitive brain to contemplate the ethics of your choices.

For the past two days, this little dinosaur has been hitchhiking on my side mirror.image

And every time I go back to my car, he’s just chilling on top of the mirror, ready to go.

The dude’s hella confused though. He sees himself in the mirror and tries to attract himself to himself

And sometimes it looks like he fell off …

cherish him forever

  • Question: i had a vegan tell me that hunting is bad for animals and conservation!!! please tell me this isn't true!! - Anonymous
  • Answer:

That’s so like them and the propaganda that they spew. Just think about it for a second. How is having a steel bullet inserted next to vital bodily organs at a rate of a few thousand miles per hour “bad” for an animal? I think it helps build the animal’s immunity to bullets.

To answer your question, of course its not true. You only do this to creatures that you love. In fact, in my previous blog, I suggested that people should hunt hunters. Because I love them, and that’s what you do to creatures that you love. I feel bad because they’ve never experienced the feeling of affection that comes with this hobby. They are always giving love but never taking any. Very selfless people.

Christians want to ban abortion because they see it as the murder of a potential life, but support Israel killing over 800 people cause ‘they’re just defending themselves.’

The Turkish company Pugedon has created a vending machine that’s dispensing help for both the environment and our furry friends.

Watch the machine in action here.

It’s similar to the machines that accept trash and recyclables for train tickets and people food.

Progression & innovation, dudes.

wouldn’t this make a city’s stray dog problem worse? giving them a constant source of food, encouraging them to breed and come back. What if they have diseases? Seems like that would endanger all the people near that park (most of whom look like children)

I dont know the details yet, but this should help keep the stray population more centralized/easier to catch to take to an adoption facility, plus keeping them moderately well fed should help reduce aggression as many stray dogs become aggressive due to major stressers such as starvation. This creates an association between people and food without the need for direct contact. As far as breeding, most animals will attempt to reproduce more regularly when they feel threatened or in danger (basically if they think theyre about to die they start humping everything) but hopefully, if nothing else, they can be taken in to be spayed or nuetered (1 of the clinics in my town has a day once every few months where you can bring stray animals in and they’ll ‘fix’ them for free) like I said, only just hearing about this, so i dont know, but this does create some good oppurtunities for managing the stray population humanely.

this won’t get 1% of the women’s version of this post.

the world we live in, and people in general don’t care about men. we are pretty much robots who aren’t allowed to show emotion. we’re taught from a young age that boys don’t cry.

fact is women are sexualised, men are idealised. because men can’t be raped because they’re big and strong right? right? yea, pretty much the idiots view of living.

signal boost this shit

reblogging because I cannot stand when people act like women are the only things in the world

Reblogging because the pictures are important.

But the comments are fucking ridiculous. I would delete them if I weren’t on mobile.

Yes, it is a fact that men are indeed raped. In the old days when I identified as male, it happened to me. On two separate occasions. Both by girls I was dating at the time. And whenever I had the guts to share my story, I was told what every survivor all too often hears: that it was my fault and that I must have wanted it to some extent, else I wouldn’t have let it happen.

Yes. It happens. And we women fucking know it happens. BUT. Isn’t it funny how the only times we hear about men’s experiences are in efforts to derail and silence women’s experiences? Isn’t it funny how we never hear “Men are raped”, only “Men are raped too”? And isn’t it funny how when no one takes a male survivor seriously, women are blamed?

If a man is raped and feels that he can’t speak out on it, or is ridiculed when he does, it isn’t the fault of women. It’s the fault of a patriarchal society that dictates a man must be manly and masculine and if he shows any sign of vulnerability, that strips him of said masculinity. And who do you think built a society like that? It sure as hell wasn’t women.

Don’t throw us under the bus to make your voices heard. Stand with us and we can make OUR voices heard.

The goal of #SmallPetRespect is to encourage current and potential owners of small pets to become more educated on the animals they care for.

By tweeting facts and advice, we’ll destroy some of the myths and misconceptions surrounding the smallest of our companions.

When it comes to animals like birds (particularly budgies and cockatiels), small mammals, rodents, reptiles, fish (bettas need special mention), amphibians, arachnids, etc, many are picked up on a whim without proper prior research. Many of these animals are cheaply obtained at chain pet stores.

To make matters worse, many enclosures, tanks, cages, and habitats sold in pet stores are not suitable for the animals they are marketed for.

Many animals wind up mistreated due to ignorance and a prevailing attitude that such pets are disposable. It’s time to change that.

Do you share your home with a small pet? What would you say to someone looking into owning one? You can join the conversation on Twitter and Tumblr by tagging #SmallPetRespect.

Share stories, wisdom learned, facts, resources, advice and more. Please signal boost! Help us show that though they are small, all pets deserve respect.
